Betrayed After 20 Years: A Warning About This Deceptive Practice 😡
I'm writing this as a warning about my terrible online shopping experience. After being a loyal customer for almost 20 years, I was completely let down. One of the two pairs of glasses I ordered arrived with prescription markings etched directly onto the lenses, right in my line of sight. The excuse I was given was infuriating. I was told that all lenses are marked, but they don't show on the premium lenses. So, in other words, if you don't want symbols and numbers in your line of sight, you have to pay MORE for their more expensive lenses. This felt like a lie and a betrayal, which is why I had to contact customer service and share my story.
Customer: I'm calling about my recent order. My second pair of glasses has visible numbers etched into the lenses. I can't see through them properly.
CS Rep: I see. All our lenses are marked, but those markings typically don't show on our premium lens options. Did you select the base-priced lenses for that pair?
Customer: Are you kidding me? I have to pay extra just to not have symbols in my vision? I've been a customer for almost 20 years and have never had this issue with your "base-priced" lenses before. This is unacceptable.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for this experience. That should not have happened. Let me see what we can do. I can either process a remake for you or issue a full refund for that pair.
